How to Make Your Own Air Freshener
Ingredients:
1. 4 tbsp.-dried sage
2. 30 to 40 crumbled dried bay leaves and
3. 1 c. witch hazel (liquid).
Put all the ingredients in a medium-sized glass jar.
Mix the ingredients well and cover with a lid.
Let the mixture sit at room temperature for three days, then mix it again.
Strain the herb leaves from the mixture.
Pour the liquid into a spray bottle.
Your very own air freshener is ready
Tips:
Witch hazel is available at all the local drugstores.
The mixture can be kept for several months.
Do not spray directly on clothes or fabric.
Don’t spray it on your body.
Keep it away from children.
How to Store Kitchen Linen
Wash or dry-clean your linens thoroughly before storing them to prevent mold growth.
Stains will easily grow mold if they are left.
Brush off any mold you find on your linens outdoors so the spores do not land on any linen.
Soak linens in bleach and water before washing to remove any mold.
Rinse linens thoroughly of all soap to prevent spotting.
Place linens in a cool, dark, dry closet in your house.
Roll up linens when you store them so that they keep their shape and color.
Store linens - cotton, linen or muslin - in a garment bag.
Try to use acid-free tissue paper, if available, to separate your linens.
Rotate your linens every six months to keep them fresh.
Place a lavender sachet with your linens to keep them smelling fresh.
Important:
Do not store linens in plastic, cardboard or cedar. Each emits fumes and acids that can stain the
linen.

three year old) doing dishes with the dishpan in the bathtub, my husband fixed the sink in fifteen
minutes.
It took him fifteen minutes to fix a sink that I could not use for five months! I was livid.
And so, my journey began. I not only learned the skills that I needed, but I made a small business
out of painting apartment buildings, created an income and became independent.
