- Affiliate Money and Joint Ventures
Once you now own your own product, no one else has one just like it.
There are no duplicate sites out on the Internet with your salespage, and the only one in control of the price of
your product is YOU.
Of course, there are people making money with other people's products. Do not get me wrong. There are top
super affiliates who know what they are doing and simply pull in Internet money from all over the place.

A joint venture is your avenue to money. Because you own your own product, you have a foot in a door that if
you have been selling other products you'll discover there is one important and powerful way to market your

And that is through joint ventures. It's called YOUR own affiliate program. You were told in Volume IV to set up
an affiliate program.
You were given some pieces of advice in that book. However, it was just enough to introduce you to having your
own affiliate program so you could get your site set up to leverage your future and to prepare your site.
You see it is easier to find joint venture partners that you can offer them a high commission to send your sales
letter to their newsletter.
It’s highly advantageous.
Here are what joint ventures are and here is how you use them:
Joint venture is using that “affiliate program” I had you set up so that you can allow other people to sell your
product at a high commission.
It does not hurt to offer a high commission rate because it costs you almost nothing to reproduce your product.
It’s already in an instant download file format. The only thing that costs you is bandwidth. Initially, for standard
downloads, your web host will allow you some bandwidth. The more downloads you have downloaded, the more
visits to your site, the more bandwidth is used.
This is not a bad thing at all. If you start having to pay more for bandwidth, it means you are making more sales!
It is very standard to offer 50 percent and higher commission rate on an instant download product. You don't have
to buy materials for your product. You don't have to ship it. Although, you can put it on CD and do just that,
depending on your own target market. You can apply the same techniques as you do for a download product.
So, to create joint ventures, your job is to find the newsletters in your field that already have a list of people who
are signed up to their list.
(YOU must never buy a list! There are people who will try to sell you lists. Do not do it!)
The joint ventures are for using with people who have their own lists and their own people who are on their list
because they personally signed up to be there!
These list owners are people who have built their list and have a group of followers who listen to their
recommendations.
The lists could be a 100 to 100s of thousands depending on how big the marketer has built his/her list. We all
dream that a big list will announce our product to their subscriber base. It is bound to make lots of sales. And, you
can strike gold! It would be excellent. I hope you do! Shoot for it. But, do not forget the smaller guys. They have
lists, they like to recommend products to their subscribers and you could, depending on the field you chose, have
a lot of ezine owners recommending your product to their list.
Your job is to find these list owners. Once you find them, you send them a professional letter, telling them about
your product. You don’t play games. You simply tell them where to download your product so they can read it.

owner.
In fact, I’d search for every list in my field that I can find and sign up for all of them.
It’s a great shoe-in to say, “Hi, Mark, Jane, Joe, I’m a reader of your newsletter, Great Newsletter, I particularly
loved (whatever).
Joe, the reason I’m writing you, is I’m launching a brand new information product on your subject, which will fit in
beautifully with your subscribers. In fact, I have attached it for you to see how well it will benefit your list members.
Here is the product. I’ve set up an affiliate area for you to sign up at 60 percent commission, that is $__ per sale
for you.
This is advantageous to both of us. I’ve provided a sales letter for you to use.
(You will provide everything the list owner needs to make it as easy as 1, 2, and 3 for him/her to tell their people
about your product.)
Joint Ventures - Follow Up
One thing I have learned about joint ventures is that most joint venture partners only send out once. In this case, it
is time to write them, thank them for their efforts and NOW, send them a second joint venture letter!
This is for them to remind their readers of your AWESOME product.
Most people do not do this. They do not know the power of the second onslaught! When a person sends to their
list the first time, they will generate some action. Some readers will miss the first invite to go to your site, or even
go and NOT buy. However, a second invite from the same ezine owner who recommends your product can really
make an effect!
So, you now make a second letter to send to your joint venture partners telling them how wonderful they have
done. Compliments are NECESSARY. You are dealing with egos. I realize that sounds tough, but it is TRUE.
People who are successful in their business can discard or not discard you like an old rag depending on their whim,
their frame of mind and what they are doing.
Maybe, when you wrote them they were torn between advertising your product and John Doe's product. Maybe
your product only lets them make $8.50, so it didn't really appeal to them. However, a second push to your
product and endorsement could bring that ezine owner $850.00 or a better turnover of $8,500.00. The thing is
you do not know until you try. If you do not send the second request with a thank you to a list owner to remind
their readers of your product, you are really missing a very strong opportunity.
Some ezine owners will not do it, others will. Your job is to convince the ezine owner in your field to push your
